Public Review Draft

Below is the Public Review Draft of the proposed Unified Development Code (UDC).  The draft incorporates present Tiles 15 (Buildings and Construction), 16 (Subdivision), and 17 (Zoning). Early on in the process the consultants created a "Diagnosis" based on feedback received from interviews and reviews of current plans and other documents.  The Diagnosis can be found by clicking here.   The Diagnosis was presented to the community and discussed prior to the beginning of drafting the code and provided a framework for the new UDC.  The UDC focuses on what was considered the most important, big-picture revisions that were needed.

Please feel free to contact staff with comments.  Public Hearing dates will be announced shortly and are anticipated to be in May and June.  The UDC will be adopted by City Ordinance.  This process will require, at minimum, review and recommendation by the Planning Commission, three readings by the City Council and at least one Public Hearing in front of the City Council.

Please send all comments to UDCcomments@cityoflaramie.org.   All comments received will be included in future Planning Commission and City Council correspondence.

Chapter 15.14 Development Standards

This chapter is a compilation of regulations related to the location, design, and relationships between sites and structures.  In Laramie, many of these regulations were previously located throughout the code, so this Chapter will provide a single location for identifying applicable standards.  A variety of new standards are introduced within such as revised parking and landscaping standards, commercial and residential design standards and specific development requirements in sensitive areas.
