The Finance Division of Administrative Services Department provides
a number of services including, budgeting, tax collection; providing
financial analysis and planning; facilitating the City's annual audit;
and processing all accounts payable, payroll, and related business
activities for the City. Additionally, Finance provides City Council
and management staff with monthly updates on all city expenditures
and revenues to monitor for budget aberrations as well as providing
any necessary and required reports regarding the City's financial
condition.
The Finance Department manages the City's cash resources so as
to ensure a maximum return on the City's assets and funds. Finance
Staff provide a desired level of liquidity with the City's resources
while maximizing to the returns within a relatively low risk level.
