Below is the Planning Commission Review Draft of the proposed Unified Development Code (UDC). The draft incorporates present Tiles 15 (Buildings and Construction), 16 (Subdivision), and 17 (Zoning). Early on in the process the consultants created a "Diagnosis" based on feedback received from interviews and reviews of current plans and other documents. The Diagnosis can be found by clicking here. The Diagnosis was presented to the community and discussed prior to the beginning of drafting the code and provided a framework for the new UDC. The UDC focuses on what was considered the most important, big-picture revisions that were needed.
On May 11, 12 and 13 work sessions with the Zoning Advisory Committee (ZAC) and Planning Commission were held for guidance on this draft. The Planning Commission Public Review Draft reflects comments stemming from the May work sessions.
Please feel free to contact staff with comments. The UDC will be adopted by City Ordinance. In addition to this Planning Commission Public Hearing three readings and a public hearing in front of the City Council are required.
