2. I turned in a bike I found. If it isn't claimed, can I have it?
Once property is in police department custody we have to have a court order to dispose of the property in some manner. With found property all reasonable efforts are tried in an attempt to return the property to the correct owner. We then have to list the property and get a disposal order from the judge.
