Aquifer
protection is vital to the health and well-being of the City of
Laramie and many Albany County residents. The City of Laramie
passed an aquifer protection ordinance in September of 2002, with
Albany County passing a similar ordinance several months later.
The
ordinances prohibit a list of activities that generate or store
hazardous materials that pose a threat to the aquifer and water
supply.
The
ordinances also impose special regulations on septic system design
and installation within the aquifer protection zone. Questions
