Laramie has become a social center for the State of Wyoming. The main claim to fame is the existence of the University of Wyoming--the only 4-year college in the state. This has brought many events to the Laramie area, including concerts from such greats as Elton John and the Dave Matthews Band to art shows at the Art Museum/Centennial Complex on campus.
