ANNOUNCEMENTS:
NEW COORDINATORS FOR: ICE & EVENT CENTER AND SACC PROGRAM The Ice & Event Center Program Coordinator is now Laura Tangeman, 721-5265.  The SACC Program Coordinator is now Cindy Stoffers, 721-5262.
	ELITCH GARDENS AMUSEMENT PARK  Jr and Sr High teens are invited to join us on August 4th for a day down at Denver’s world-class park!  8:00am-7:00pm  Depart from and return to the Recreation Center.  Fee:  $75, includes admission, transportation and supervision.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  JULY 29.
	CO-ED SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE & TOURNAMENT  Recreational, Competitive and 40+ Divisions available.  League runs August 2 through late September.  Games are played Monday through Thursday nights from 6 to 9pm.  All teams are automatically included in the season-ending tournament.  Ages 16 and up are welcome to join us.  Fee:  $400/team, includes tourney.
	The OUTDOOR LEISURE POOL Open Noon to 6:30pm, weather permitting.  Washington Park Wading Pool will be open daily June 14-Aug 21.

After School at the Rec Center           (SACC)

 

Registration for returning SACC students and siblings

begins on July 26, 2010

Join SACC for a fun place to hang out until Mom or Dad get off work!  SACC is open to all kids in kindergarten through 6th grade who need a safe and supervised after school opportunity.  SACC is held at the Laramie Community Recreation Center.  Students from Beitel, Indian Paintbrush, Linford, Slade, Snowy Range Academy, Spring Creek, and UW Lab Schools are bussed to SACC by the Albany County School District #1.  Students from other schools are welcome, but must arrange their own transportation.  The program begins when school is out and runs until 5:30 p.m. each full day school is in session.  Some of the activities included are arts and crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor free time (depending on the weather), homework and quiet time, clubs held in the Laramie Community Recreation Center and field trips to local attractions such as the UW museums, ice-skating, roller-skating, and the parks.  An after school snack is included each day.  All SACC caregivers are qualified staff who are fully trained to make SACC a positive experience for all involved.  For more information on this program call Parks and Recreation at 721-5269.  Registration requirement:  a current copy of an immunization record for each child registered.
