The City of Laramie currently rates the risk of infection at level 1 (Remote Risk) based on the low level of mosquito activity and cool temperatures. Kiwanis Park Playground

The City of Laramie Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled the replacement of the Kiwanis Park Playground equipment starting on Monday September 29, 2008. The Playground area within the park will be closed from Monday September 29th until the new equipment has been installed. The new playground equipment will be installed by Miracle Recreation Equipment Company and is tentatively scheduled to be completed and open for use by October 31st. During the removal and installation period, we request that citizens avoid the playground area as large pieces of equipment will be entering and exiting the park from Grant Street. The new equipment will be open for play after completion when the concrete has had time to properly cure. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
For further information, please contact: Mike Zook, Parks Manager 721-5264

River High

Fifty-five feet tall and visible from the surrounding valley, it will be a beacon to the Recreation Center and all it has to offer the community.  It is on loan for one year, thanks to many generous donors to the UW Art Museum.

Sculpture: A Wyoming Invitational has been organized by the University of Wyoming Art Museum in cooperation with the University of Wyoming, various agencies in the City of Laramie, and the Albany County Public Library.
